The company "Kavkaz.RF" has announced the development of a new plan for the Caspian Coastal Cluster in Dagestan, a future seaside resort.
"The concept was developed by order of 'Kavkaz.RF' taking into account the architectural code of the future resort and the historical heritage of the region. The main idea is to create a harmonious space for family and active recreation, while carefully and meaningfully integrating objects into the terrain," the company's website says.
According to the designers, the center of social life at the resort will be a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants, styled after a southern seaside town. It will feature dense development, plenty of outdoor cafes, and an architectural dominant on the central square.
The resort's area is proposed to be divided into several types of public spaces: promenades, parks, a waterfront, and active recreation zones for children and adults.
"Obviously, in warm weather, for example, the most popular location will be the waterfront, while in cold weather, it will be the boulevard and parks, protected from sea winds. At the same time, the pedestrian promenade is proposed to be made in the form of intersecting waves, which visually creates dynamics," the company noted.
Particular attention will be paid to sun protection. The project also includes unexpected solutions: the image of arches and windows from the traditional architecture of the region is reflected in the supports of pergolas, and Dagestan cheese inspired small seating forms.
Navigation, signs, interactive displays, and smart panels will help tourists navigate the resort, which will occupy six kilometers of coastline.
"The concept offers a fresh look at seemingly familiar things - landscaping, playgrounds, sports zones, promenade, viewpoints. The authors studied the 'guest journey' and use solutions that are not always obvious but logical and relevant. It is important that the work is carried out in parallel with the design of the resort's resident facilities, so the effect should be comprehensive," said Nikolai Goncharov, Deputy General Director of "Kavkaz.RF".
