More than 70 new hotels have increased the number of rooms in Moscow over the past 12 years. Today there are over 1,9 thousand hotels, apartments, hostels and other accommodation facilities in the city. According to this indicator, the capital is in second place in Russia, second only to the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced by the Moscow City Tourism Committee on its website.
"The capital's hotels can accommodate 374 thousand people at the same time. This is the population of one small town. The construction of the hotel infrastructure makes Moscow more open and accessible to tourists," the report says.
According to the committee, new cultural and historical objects are also becoming points of attraction for travelers.
They recalled that in 12 years such sights as Zaryadye Park, the Island of Dreams amusement park, the HES-2 House of Culture, the restored Northern River Station, the reconstructed Luzhniki sports complex and other places have opened in the capital.
