Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko in his telegram channel said that during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum an agreement was reached on the creation of the Chuisky Trakt tourist route. It will run through the Altai Territory, the Altai Republic and the Novosibirsk Region.

The length of the Chuisky tract in the territory of the Altai Territory is about 300 kilometers. By 2035, it is planned to complete the expansion of the tract to four lanes along its entire length in the territory of this region.

In addition, hotels, cafes and restaurants necessary for a comfortable journey will appear along the entire tract.

As expected, the implementation of the project to create a new tourist route will further unlock the tourism potential of Siberia.

In the future, an application for assigning the status of a national tourist route to the project will be sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
