Tourism Week in the Chelyabinsk region starts on the holiday itself, September 27, and ends on October 3.
In particular, on September 28, there will be a presentation of a grant project in Kyshtym - a network of eco-trails connecting the peaks of Egozu and Sugomak, the official tourist portal of the Chelyabinsk region reports.
“In total, four walking and one cycling routes were developed within the framework of the project. The shortest one - with the ascent to Mount Egoza - is only 1.4 km, the longest - 20 km. Departure from Chelyabinsk will be organized for tour operators, guides and the media,” the report says.
On September 30, municipal tourism specialists will gather at the regional conference. The agenda includes participation in grant competitions of the Federal Tourism Agency, certification of guides and instructors, changes in legislation on the classification of collective accommodation facilities, and so on.
And on October 1, the Taganay National Park will hold an Open Doors Day at the environmental education center "Where Europe meets Asia" (Semibratka). Free excursions and master classes are provided for guests - everyone is welcome.
The next day, a volunteer action will be held in the Zyuratkul National Park. Volunteers will clean up the garbage on the far shore of the lake of the same name, or, as it is also called, the "heart-lake".
The Week of Tourism in the region will end with an information tour for tour operators and guides on the topic of waste recycling. The tour will take place in Chelyabinsk.
“The first object of the info tour will be a new museum of non-garbage – there are only three of them in the country. And after that, the participants of the info tour will see how the used plastic gets a new life and turns into materials for landscaping: a tour of the production is organized by the Symbol company, the portal reports.
