The International Festival of Puppeteers "Origins" will be held at the Obraztsov Theater in Moscow

From September 2 to September 9, puppet shows from 17 theaters from 6 countries will be presented to the audience.

In particular, productions from Lebanon, Mongolia, Turkey and Iran will take part in the festival.

The varied program includes fairy tales, booths, street folk comedy and ancient rituals.

The audience will get acquainted with the Japanese street theater kamishibai and Tuvan finger puppets Tokuu, hear the legends of the Koran and the peoples of the North, the legends of Bashkiria and Dagestan, Bulgarian, Tatar, Belarusian, Mongolian fairy tales, as well as modern author's works based on folklore legends.
