Festive events on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the formation of Murmansk were attended by more than 7,500 people, said the governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis.

On the occasion of the holiday concert programs, master classes, athletics runs for adults and children, walrus swimming and sap competitions were organized on the streets of Murmansk. Traditionally the gastronomic fair "In the North – delicious" was launched with a cooking show and tasting from the leading chefs of the region.

"The program was intense and, judging by the atmosphere and enthusiastic reviews, the holiday was a success. I thank the organizers and artists for such a responsible approach to creating a festive mood among the residents of the city," said the governor of the Murmansk region.
