The meeting was held as part of an agreement on cooperation and establishment of patronage relations between the officials.

It was attended by a deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma, representatives of local governments, the Russian Geographical Society, the Ministry of Culture and the Youth Policy Committee of the Murmansk Region, the Murmansk regional organization Russian Union of Afghanistan Veterans, the public, as well as search engines and caring residents of the village.

The delegation made an unsuccessful attempt to inspect the monument, following which they discussed the further work on the restoration of the monument.
