It will be prepared by February and equipped with laboratory equipment for biochemical and hematological studies of animal blood samples, a portable ultrasound machine and many others. With the beginning of spring, the dolphin release season begins every year, it lasts until midsummer. Last year, 200 dead cetaceans were found in the Krasnodar Territory, the TASS news agency reports.

- The reanimobile will be equipped with laboratory equipment for biochemical and hematological studies of animal blood samples, a portable ultrasound machine and many other things that are necessary to provide assistance in the field, including consumables, medicines for dolphins, equipment for volunteers, stretchers, cylinders, a folding bathtub designed for veterinary manipulations. The task of the specialists of the reanimobile is to quickly assess the condition of the animal, make a preliminary diagnosis to provide it with veterinary care, or palliative care in the most severe cases to ease the last hours of life. Decisions will be made collectively by specialists specializing in marine mammal veterinary medicine. And together with the doctors of local veterinary clinics and trained volunteers, we will provide assistance," explained Tatyana Denisenko, scientific director of the Delphi Scientific and Ecological Dolphin Rescue Center.

During the emission season on the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory, from 1 to 20 sick dolphins may need help. When calls are received to the Delphi center's hotline, specialists need to get to the endangered marine animal as soon as possible. In 2022, about 600 cetaceans died on the Black Sea coast, the main cause was the epizootic of a viral infection, 20 seriously ill dolphins that washed ashore in an extremely critical condition, veterinary and palliative care was provided by specialists.

- In such cases, it is very difficult to help, but we managed to get six dolphins out and escort them to the sea. The past year has been calm as a result of epizootics - after outbreaks there is always a temporary lull. It is difficult to say what the current year will be like, but we will be ready to provide operational assistance," said Tatyana Beley, director of the Delphi Dolphin Rescue Scientific and Environmental Center.
