It is called "Spiel 555" in honor of the finishing point - the observation deck on top of Mount Särsäslaki. Its height above sea level is 555 meters.
The industrial part of the route is 7.5 km long and passes through the territory of a closed nickel-copper quarry, technological sites and overburden piles.
The natural part is laid along the Pechenga tundra - treeless hills "tunturi". The trail from Mount Shpil runs to the Kola super-deep well, which makes it possible to walk and see this iconic place from one of the highest peaks of the Pechenga district.
At the foot of the Säräslaki mountain, work is being completed on equipping a site for a tent camp for 25 people with a landscaped area around the fire, a large shed with a table and benches and a toilet.
The created infrastructure on the route allows not only to see unique objects and obtain the necessary information, but also ensures the safety of visitors. Residents and guests of the region will be able to visit the trail during the snowless period.
The trail was equipped with financial support from Norilsk Nickel as part of the Pechenga District Tourist Routes project, which includes the Waterfall on the Shuonijoki River and Kedr in the Nikel Forestry.
