Since June of this year, more than 420 million European electronic coronavirus certificates have been issued in the European Union, the European Commission reported.

Since July 1, the EU has put into effect a digital COVID certificate, which confirms that its holder is fully vaccinated against the coronavirus or has a negative PCR test, or has been ill with it and has immunity.

Four vaccines have been approved for use in the EU so far: Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson. The Russian drug Sputnik V is undergoing an approval procedure.
