Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, during a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects with the participation of the President, said that most of the travelers replaced the failed tours with trips around Russia.
“Those who bought tours and were unable to use them, most of them were replaced by a Russian product,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
“We are now supporting tour operators so that they either return the money before the end of the year, or still replace it with affordable Russian offers. We will finish this work by the end of the year,” he stressed.
Reuters has reported that the New Zealand government has announced a nearly threefold increase in fees for foreign tourists. Starting October 1st, the entry fee to the country will be 100 New Zealand dollars, equivalent to approximately 62 US dollars
