In the Yamal city of Labytnangi, the construction of the Komi Village ethnographic park has begun. This was reported by the portal of the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“This year the historical place will be transformed. It is planned to create a complex in the ethnographic park, consisting of a museum center, glamping, chum, children's playgrounds in a natural style and an embankment,” the message says.
The Komi village is located on the cape of the Vyl-Posl channel in the lower reaches of the Ob, in this place, according to legend, seven sacred larches grew, which had their first camp. Later, a village was founded in its place, and then a city.
Landscaping work has already begun. Foundations were erected for the building of the visitor center, the pier and the transformer substation.
In addition, the laying of water supply networks is underway, by the end of May they will begin work on drainage and, in parallel, they will begin to install electrical networks, the portal reported.
At the same time, museum staff select items that will become exhibits of the ethnographic complex.
“The new buildings should retain the strength that this place has. Therefore, we will try not only to restore the decoration, but to transfer it so that old things take on a new meaning. In the future, the preserved architraves, utensils, household items will become part of the exposition, ”the portal quotes the deputy director of the city museum of local lore Oksana Juman.
As expected, the Komi village can become the hallmark of Labytnangi.
