The architecture of the business program of the International Forum “Eco Altai. Thread of Nature”” has been published. It will take place on September 29–30, 2023 in the Altai Republic on the territory of the all-season resort “Manzherok”. The forum will be held in the format of an open dialogue, where innovative strategies, environmental development projects and best regional practices for sustainable development of territories will be presented. The organizers of the Forum are the government of the Altai Republic, the Roscongress Foundation and the Altai Republic Development Center ANO.

The Forum's business program included sessions and round tables covering key aspects of the country's current environmental agenda. These are issues of the formation of domestic principles of sustainable development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, biosafety and environmental-economic development programs in the context of the national agenda of environmental sovereignty, territorial development policy and the search for new points of sustainable development of territories. During the Forum, issues of international environmental cooperation will be raised and current Eurasian environmental practices will be discussed.

Much attention will also be paid to eco-cultural education and training, training for the green economy, environmental youth movement and projects. A separate session will be devoted to environmental entrepreneurship as a mechanism for involving youth in the economic development of the country, organized in partnership with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

Our country occupies a leading place in the world in terms of the area of specially protected natural areas, and a separate block of the program will be devoted to a new type of tourism - ecological tourism in protected areas. In partnership with the Russian Tourism Forum “Travel!” A special session will be held, which will be a continuation of the discussion that took place in June at Russia’s largest tourism festival for travelers.

On the sidelines of the Forum, a visiting session of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection will be held, where issues of improving the legal regulation of the conservation of unique water bodies and natural areas will be discussed.

The key event of the business program of the International Forum “Eco Altai. Thread of Nature" will be a plenary session "From ecology of thinking to environmental sovereignty." The Forum will be attended by delegations from Mongolia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, heads of Russian regions, leading Russian politicians and company executives, experts and public figures.
