The start of the rally was given in Murmansk, the "library capital of Russia", and its participants will finish in Vladivostok, at the Vladivostok Book Lighthouse Festival.
The main mission of the book theme of the rally is to introduce people to reading, the press service of the Murmansk region reports.
Cultural figures, writers, publishers, media personalities, bloggers will take part in the rally "The Road to the Lighthouse". Each car will be a mobile mini-library filled with gift books signed by contemporary writers, these books will be presented to regional libraries.
The theme of the rally is not only bookish, but also tourist. Meetings with representatives of the tourism industry are planned along the route of the rally in order to exchange experience in the creation and development of tourist routes.
From August 1 to August 20, the participants of the "Road to the Lighthouse" will travel along the route: Murmansk, Medvezhegorsk, Volkhov, St. Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Kosteneevo, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Ishim, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, Yerofey Pavlovich, Blagoveshchensk, Birobidzhan, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok.
The final point of the auto expedition movement is Vladivostok, where the regional festival "Book Lighthouse of Vladivostok" will be held on August 18-20.
