Swiss residents will make up for the lack of foreign tourists in the country

Swiss residents who were forced by the COVID-19 pandemic to abandon plans to spend their holidays abroad will make up for the lack of foreign tourists in the country this summer,  Suisse Tourisme expects.

According to its data, almost 45% of Swiss people usually spend holidays in Switzerland, but in a situation with a coronavirus infection, this figure will significantly increase. Financial losses of the country's tourism industry are currently estimated at 80-95%.

In Switzerland, the number of cases of COVID-19 infection reached about 28.000, more than a thousand people died.
