The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources spoke about how projects for the study of natural complexes are being implemented in nature reserves and national parks.
In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, researchers from the Sayano-Shushensky Reserve, together with representatives of the Khakassia Republican Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, met a female snow leopard with three kittens born last year during an expedition to census the Siberian ibex. At the time of the meeting, the snow leopards had just finished their meal and calmly reacted to the camera. Scientists were able to locate the family of predators thanks to the systematic work done earlier on the study of individual areas of snow leopards living in the reserve, and marking points.
Employees of the Komsomolsky reserve in the Khabarovsk Territory, during an expedition to the Udyl reserve, described the flora, measured the heights and diameters of the trunks, and assigned serial numbers to the trees. Oak forests grow in the reserve, which have high vitality, despite the critical environment for them. They occupy the most heated and dry areas of the upper parts of the slopes and peaks.
Members of the expedition in the Taganay National Park in the Chelyabinsk Region helped the PA staff in preparing materials for future excursions and eco-lessons. Now one of the objects of the geological excursion will be the outcrop of rocks in the area of the observation deck "Teschin language". Volunteers who took part in the expedition helped to clear rocky outcrops in order to show visitors the carbonate lower stratum, which is rare for Taganay.
In addition, the volunteers made a small discovery. They found soil mollusks in one of the streams, the species of which will be determined by the specialists of the protected areas after the completion of field work.
A herpentological expedition took place in the Zhigulevsky Reserve in the Samara Region. The researchers met lizards, snakes, as well as a rare insect - the Red Book steppe hump. In the depths of the reserve, a spindle, copperhead, as well as four patterned snakes and 13 common vipers were recorded.
The children's field expedition started in the Astrakhan Reserve. It will include lectures, field trips, excursions, laboratory research, creative workshops, quests and other activities.
The children have already been on excursions at the central cordon of the Damchik district, climbed the fire tower and met hare hares. In addition, they had the opportunity to study the physiology of fish in a real laboratory, watch birds and walk around the protected zone of the reserve.
In addition, as part of the shift, young researchers will learn the most interesting things about spiders, amphibians and reptiles of the Astrakhan Reserve, take part in an orienteering quest game on the cordon.
The Ministry of Regional Security of the Murmansk Region has developed a draft regulatory act that eases the possibilities of using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for photography and videography
