St. Petersburg joined the World Tourism Alliance

The press service of the administration of the northern capital reported that St. Petersburg became a member of the World Tourism Alliance in the "city" category. The Tourism Development Committee was included in the category of "organization". The certificate awarding ceremony took place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou as part of the 2nd WTA General Assembly.

The World Tourism Alliance was established in 2017. This is a non-governmental non-profit international tourism organization, which includes national profile associations, enterprises, cities, media, international organizations and universities. The headquarters and secretariat are located in China.

BTA holds various meetings, summits and exhibitions, provides services in the field of education, consulting and planning to expand the possibilities of the hospitality industry. The main goal of the alliance is to create a platform for dialogue and cooperation, the exchange of ideas and information, the sharing of resources and communication for integrated development.
