The press service of Mospriroda reported that on September 16, the Capital Cup in sports ornithology “Autumn 2023” will be held in the Moskvoretsky natural and historical park.

The competition will be held in three categories: “Beginners” (team of 2–5 people), “Experts” (team of 2–5 people) and “Soloists” (individually). Only an adult can be a team captain, but everyone is allowed to participate, regardless of age.

Participants will have to photograph and correctly identify the maximum number of bird species in three hours. The winners and runners-up will receive certificates and memorable prizes.

Sports ornithology competitions are held annually in spring and autumn. Last spring, about 90 people took part in the competition. They managed to photograph 60 species of birds, 15 of which are listed in the Moscow Red Book.
