Guests in Sochi are ready to receive 2316 accommodation places, 17 hotel complexes operate on an all-inclusive basis.
- In the new season, 41 kilometers of the coastline will be landscaped. A unified design of embankments has been introduced, and about 180 beaches will start operating in the new format. 44 of them passed the federal classification for compliance with national quality standards approved by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. 35 received the blue flag, the highest distinction. Last year there were 23 of them. This season we are opening three new eco-beaches - "Pearl of Sochi", "Casablanca", "Aquamarine". There will be six of them in all districts of the city. Natural materials, eco-friendly street lighting, modern engineering technologies were used in the arrangement, and separate waste collection was introduced. 40 beaches are accessible for people with limited mobility, - said the head of Sochi, Alexei Kopaygorodsky.
There will be 68 surf stations and six diving centers on the coast of Sochi. From May to October, employees of Rospotrebnadzor will conduct at least six thousand laboratory tests of samples, confirming the quality of sea water.
- At the Sochi airport, work has been carried out to increase the throughput at pre-flight control - the number of inspection lines has been increased by one and a half times. A multimodal transportation service has been introduced with a single ticket "train + bus" and "airplane + bus" to the settlements of Abkhazia. For the first time, a "green corridor" system for organized children's groups has been introduced at major railway stations. In the summer, night buses will run around Sochi, the Sochi administration notes.
Tour routes will also be updated. The repair of access roads to several natural attractions at once is already underway: the Devil's Gate canyon, the Navalishchensky Gorge, the Vorontsov caves and the Koshman estate. By the summer, the Matsesta forest park, the Yubileiny forest area will be renovated, and the territory of the Zmeykovsky waterfalls will be put in order. The route “Byzantine Temple” is being reconstructed, the route in the Volkonsky Gorge, the tourist routes “Berendeevo Kingdom”, “33 Waterfalls” will be updated.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
