Almost 1,500 alpine skiing sessions for the rehabilitation of children and youth with disabilities were held in the mountains of Sochi over the past winter season. The results of the winter were summed up in the All-Russian program of therapeutic sports "Dream League". Her goal is to make sport accessible to everyone who needs it. In particular, we are talking about children and adults with severe forms of disability - cerebral palsy (CP), autism, visual and hearing impairments, Down syndrome and other genetic diseases).
The Rosa Khutor mountain resort has become the best sports facility operating under the program in the 2021-2022 winter season. During the season, special skiers with cerebral palsy, autism, genetic syndromes, vision and hearing problems skated 1471 lessons here. This is the largest number of all 46 regions of Russia where the program is held.
This season, Rosa Khutor was attended by children and young people with disabilities from 46 cities of the Russian Federation from 29 regions of the country.
Rosa Khutor Resort has been cooperating with the Dream League therapeutic sports program for the fifth year already and is an example of rehabilitation tourism. Favorable conditions have been created here for the participants of the program and their companions - access to the ski lifts is carried out out of turn, free ski passes and parking spaces are provided.
In total, this winter season of the Dream League program held more than 17,400 hours of classes in Russia for almost two thousand children and adults with disabilities.
