Seized reserve lands are returned to Crimea

Work continues on the issue of returning the Crimean lands illegally allocated back in Ukraine from the protected areas. Already more than 150 cases on lands and buildings in the territory of the reserve are being listened in courts - and this is only in the Yalta mountain-forest nature reserve.

In addition, the monitoring of announcements for the sale of lands in protected areas is being actively carried out. This was stated by Andrei Borodin, Director of the United Directorate of Crimean Reserves of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Zapovedny Crimea”, during a press conference «Reserves of Crimea: Development and Prospects».

“We are seizing the initiative, including now we will post a list of all these lands on our official website - this work is already underway and I think that next week they will all be on the site. And we will demand that people who buy lands in Crimea see if it is on the territory of the reserve, because they do not sell land - they sell documents, and documents are still Ukrainian,” said Andriy Borodin.

“I assure both listeners and viewers: we will definitely select all the sites that were allocated illegally - I just guarantee you that. We will spend time on this, even if it will take us 10 years, 15 years, but we will definitely take them away. I want no one to have any illusions about this, I am now addressing not just the listeners, but the owners, who naively believe that they can cut off a small piece from the territory of the federal PA. It will not work 100%,” promised the director of the“ Zapovedny Krym ”.
