Portal "Interfax-tourism" reports that the experts could not fly around the entire territory of the archipelago due to adverse weather conditions. However, they managed to find a total of 60 bears. Among them are female polar bears with two cubs at the age of one year. In addition, female bears with underyearlings were found.

Scientists noted the wellbeing of the discovered individuals. This fact indicates the excellent state of the food base in the reserve.
