An online flash mob “We are responsible for those we tamed” has been launched in Russia. As EcoTourism Expert became aware, the goal of the project is to give people a full idea of the problem of homeless animals in Russia and to explain that everyone can address it.
To participate in the flash mob, you need to register on the Ecowiki.ru platform and tell your story about how you took the animal from the street or from the shelter; or a story of helping an animal from the street (taken to the vet, built a house, etc.). In addition, you need to write a post with detailed information about the nearest shelter or fund for helping homeless animals, bring food, medicine, warm clothes to the shelter, or volunteer for the shelter. You can also provide adequate financial support to a shelter or a foundation and share your experience on social networks with hashtags # fluffy flash mob # ecovics, motivating others to take care of street animals.
The organizers - the ECA Movement - prepared detailed recommendations for each type of assistance so that everyone could join.
According to animal protection organizations, there are 14-20 million dogs and 7-40 million cats in the streets of Russia. The organizers hope that the project will be able to inspire people to do something useful for homeless animals, whether searching for a loving owner or supporting the shelter, or disseminating information that taking an animal from the street or from the shelter is much better than buying it from a breeder.
A flash mob is perpetual, so you can become a member and complete good tasks at any time.
