The head of Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage (Rosprirodnadzor) took part in the Ecology and Industry forum. During this event, she said that Russian industrialists themselves have learned to strictly monitor compliance with environmental legislation and show a high degree of environmental responsibility.
That is why, according to Radionova, Rosprirodnadzor is in favor of extending the moratorium on scheduled business inspections.
Representatives of Norilsk Nickel, RUSAL, SGC, Metalloinvest, Gazpromneft, leading universities and research organizations of the country, and state environmental protection structures also spoke at the forum. They discussed ways to develop the industry in the face of severe sanctions pressure while maintaining the environmental vector. They came to a common opinion on the need to maintain a balance between the socio-economic development of the regions and the preservation of a decent environment.
