The Ministry of Economic Development, together with the regions, is working on new automobile tourist routes as part of the concept of developing automobile tourism. This was reported on the ministry's website, citing Konstantin Gorodilov, deputy director of the department for the development of tourism at the ministry.

“Currently, there are 55 formed automobile tourist routes on the national tourist portal “Puteshestvuem.rf”, collected by 49 subjects. We are working on about 120 such routes, which we are now verifying,” the message quotes Gorodilov.

Each such route is created on the basis of a digital passport with specific metrics. This allows you to determine the direction and length of the route.

According to Gorodilov, it is important to develop such routes, create comfortable and safe roads, high-quality infrastructure to meet the wishes of car tourists.

As noted in the ministry, as part of the concept of developing automobile tourism, the Ministry of Economic Development, together with other departments and regions, is working to provide popular tourist routes with a navigation system, cellular communication and the Internet, equip tourist infrastructure facilities, and create new ones. It is planned that attractions and infrastructure that are included in such routes will have priority in obtaining state support.

In essence, the Russian government is actively working to boost domestic tourism by creating a network of well-maintained and well-equipped car routes across the country. This includes developing digital maps, improving infrastructure, and providing essential services like navigation and internet connectivity along these routes.
