According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia on its website, the course of the Dyoma River began to be put in order the area from the village of Novomikhailovka to the village of Nizhegorodki, and the clearing of the pond on the Potekha River within Blagoveshchensk is nearing completion. These works are being carried out within the framework of the Ecology national project. “This year, the Federal Water Resources Agency has allocated 75.5 million rubles to the Republic for two events. Water bodies are tributaries of the Belaya River, which, in turn, feeds one of the country's most important water arteries, the Kama. The development of regions on the banks depends on the prosperous state of the resources of the basin of a large river,” the Ministry of Natural Resources quotes Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Kama Basin Water Administration of the Federal Water Resources Agency.

Works on the Deme River are now at the initial stage. Alluvium maps are formed here, before the main stage, divers examine the bottom - they will free the channel from fallen trees.

“After that, the dredger will start working, with its help more than 145 thousand cubic meters of silt deposits will be removed from the bottom. The plans are to clear 35 kilometers of the channel up to the republican center - Ufa. On this site there are nine settlements, sanatoriums, rest houses, garden associations, railway stations. The event is planned to be completed in 2024,” the ministry said.

Before the end of this year, two years of work will be completed in Blagoveshchensk, where there is a pond on the Potekha River, which was created in the 18th century for the needs of a copper smelter. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, today the private sector is located along its perimeter, and a reinforcement plant is located on the southern and southwestern sides. The pond was very swampy, in the warm season an unpleasant smell emanated from it.

“Clearing the pond is part of a joint project for environmental rehabilitation, which is being carried out with the involvement of funds from the federal and regional budgets. After completion of work in the riverbed, the territory will be improved: slopes to the water will be equipped, the left bank will be put in order,” the message says.

As a result of all these activities, the environmental conditions of more than 40,000 residents of Bashkiria will improve, the ministry noted.
