A new specially protected natural area will be created in the Ruza urban district.
The total area of "Veyna" is about 1800 hectares. And it includes the water area and coastal territories of the Ozerninsky reservoir.
The press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Moscow Region reported that "Veyna" is divided into three sections: zones of strict and moderate restrictions, as well as a recreational and tourist zone. Each of them will have its own security regime. This is done to ensure that security measures are harmoniously combined with the possibility of organized recreation and tourism.
The recreational zone involves recreation near the water, since, in addition to the Ozerninsky reservoir, it includes the water areas of the Ozerna, Veyna, Gorodenka, Perevolochnya, Poboinka and Rykunovka rivers.
115 species of vertebrates live on the territory of Vejna. At least 16 species of fish live in the reservoir and the rivers flowing into it, three species of amphibians, one species of reptiles, 73 species of birds and 23 species of mammals are found in the coastal area.
