Quiksilver New Star Camp this year will be held at Rosa Khutor from March 27 to April 2. For 14 years, Quiksilver New Star Camp has annually hosted about ten thousand lovers of skiing and music. This time the festival will be held in the Back to the Roots format. The organizers position the event as a space of meanings. Each event within the 7-day festival will carry certain ideas that will help guests discover new opportunities and live an interesting experience.
The festival will welcome riders from all disciplines of snowboarding and alpine skiing who will come to Quiksilver New Star Camp to improve their skills and take part in competitions and contests. This year the sports program looks rich and varied: Rosa Khutor Open with the support of MegaFon, DC Back to the Roots Rail Jam with the support of hh.ru, MegaFon Speed Day, EUROSPAR Big Air & Fun Slalom, hh.ru Ollie Contest, Roxy Lady's Day with the support of Rive Gauche, MegaFon family and kids for the younger generation of riders and the Quiksilver New Star Invitational, the final of which will be held with the support of Winline with a serious prize fund, the size of which has increased 3 times compared to the festival in 2021.
The strongest snowboarders and skiers, champions and prize-winners of Russia, participants of the Youth Olympic Games, champions and prize-winners of international tournaments, cups, championships and world championships have already confirmed their participation in the festival: Anastasia Tatalina, Alexei Sobolev, Yaroslav Lenchevsky, Yesenia Stepanova, Mikhail Matveev, Nikita Abozovik, Konstantin Mostovoy, Igor Tarakanov. Every day, the snowpark will choose the rider of the day, who will be awarded a special prize from Yandex Market.
This year the organizers again announced the creation of the New Star Athlete’s Club for the best Russian riders, which will be able to include both current pro riders and advanced amateurs. As a result of the competition, 80 best skiers and snowboarders will be selected for the club team. New Star Athlete’s Club riders will be able to take part in all contests of the festival, receive sports insurance, a ski pass, a +1 participant bracelet and access to the EUROSPAR athletes zone.
In addition to competitions among professionals and amateurs in the largest snowpark in Russia with an area of more than 100,000 sq.m., which will be built at an altitude of 1600 m, guests will enjoy snowboarding and skiing, dj-sets in the mountains in the open air, Roxy yoga, Yandex Plus cinema x Kinopoisk x Beat, a food zone from Yandex Food, and a secret party from Winline.
The Quiksilver New Star Camp 2023 music program will take place at five festival venues. Guests are waiting for: the Yandex Plus 1600 stage, the Vibes stage from Zen, the alley of flags with the installation of New Star Echo 2 x Yandex Alice and Rosa Peak Yandex Plus, where at the dawn of one of the days of the festival a concert of the Sirotkin group will take place. At the end of the performance, all the guests of the event, together with the artist, will roll out fresh corduroy, making a morning descent from a height of 2320 m. Also at the festival will perform: L'One, Thomas Mraz, Biicla x Gorkovskaya, Summer of Haze, Laud, Geju, Izhevski, Antokha MC, The Dawless and Errortica. As part of the showcase of the creative community ENCORE, Pharaoh and other artists will perform, in addition to their repertoire, they will perform covers of the cult one live format. Stvol TV will present Cream Soda, Mashkov, Sasha Khizhnyakov and Reptiloid at the festival.
