Quebec extends residents' accommodation discounts to boost tourism

In order to promote tourism in this French-speaking province of Canada, the authorities of Quebec announced the extension of discounts on accommodation at tourist infrastructure facilities for Quebecers for two years, until December 31, 2023.

In particular, the authorities are responsible for paying half of the living expenses in Montreal, the administrative center of Quebec. The total cost of the program is estimated at 10 million Canadian dollars.

"I urge Quebecers to discover or rediscover our beautiful territory and thus participate in our tourism renaissance," said Quebec Tourism Minister Caroline Proulx.
