Putin instructes to create a museum of the peoples of Russia in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science to submit proposals for the creation of a museum of the peoples of Russia in Moscow.

As reported on the Kremlin's website, the head of state has determined the deadline for the execution of the order until September 1.

"The Ministry of Culture of Russia to prepare together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and submit proposals for the creation of a museum of the peoples of Russia in Moscow using, among other things, the museum funds of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Order of Friendship of Peoples Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology named after Miklukho-Maklay" of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as ethnographic and local history museums subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of Russia and to the executive bodies of the subjects of the Russian Federation," the instruction says.

The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova and the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov were appointed responsible for the execution.
