Inspectors will conduct raids in the Shumak Nature Park and in neighboring areas of the Okinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia, where the snow leopard lives. At least five patrols are planned to stop cases of violation of environmental legislation. In particular, patrols expect to scare off poachers.

The press service of the World Wildlife Fund reported that it is planned to patrol at least 2,000 hectares.

In addition to patrol activities, inspectors will install camera traps to record the passage of the snow leopard and other animals. As expected, the results of the raids may be of interest to the scientific community.
