Payment "Tourist Card" for foreigners may appear in Russia

The portal "Interfax-tourism" reported that the implementation of the project was entrusted to the Ministry of Economic Development. According to the report, the Ministry of Digital Finance, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service, Rosfinmonitoring, the Bank of Russia and other organizations were also instructed to take part in the development of the project.

"The development of the Tourist Card project based on the Mir payment system for foreign tourists was discussed at a meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. Based on its results, the Ministry of Economic Development was determined by the department responsible for interdepartmental coordination and sectoral scaling of the Tourist Card project," a source told Interfax.

Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov will submit a report on the development of the project to the government by December 26.
