In 2023, the figure will increase to 130 thousand people. Today, two large cruise ships leave the port of Sochi - the Prince Vladimir, which sails to the Republic of Abkhazia, and the Astoria Grande, which sails along the coast of Turkey. Two more ships - "Griffin" and "Kometa" - ply between Novorossiysk, Sochi and Gelendzhik.
- In 2021, we transported 92,234 people, in 2022 - 113,023 people, in seven months of this year we have already transported 90,167 people, there is an increase in dynamics. By the end of the year, we expect to reach 130 thousand passenger traffic,” said Yuri Vladimirov, director of the Sochi commercial seaport.
The growth in passenger traffic is mainly due to coastal transportation; the load on ships traveling between the resorts of Kuban throughout the summer is 100 percent. At the same time, the head of the port noted a shortage of tonnage and did not rule out the launch of additional ships between Soi and other cities of the Krasnodar Territory. The dynamics of the Turkish cruise liner Astoria Grande demonstrates quite high indicators, averaging 75 percent.
