Another specially protected natural area of federal significance will appear in the Komi Republic - "Paraskiny Lakes" with an area of more than 17 thousand hectares. The corresponding decree was signed on August 5 by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Komi Republic, “this decision will help to preserve the landscape and biological diversity of the territories on which these lakes are located, and will also contribute to the development of ecological tourism.
The Ministry of Natural Resources was instructed to send to Rosreestr the information on the establishment of the boundaries of the reserve for its cadastral registration until December 1, 2022. The work is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Conservation of biological diversity and development of ecological tourism", which is part of the national project "Ecology".
Paraskiny Lakes is a water natural monument of regional importance, consisting of three karst lakes, located in the vicinity of the city of Ukhta. Soon this specially protected natural area will become even more attractive for fans of ecological tourism - three ecological trails with a length of two kilometers will appear there.
