The opening of the Eiffel tower on December 16, after a month of forced closure, has been postponed until at least January 7, 2021 due to strict restrictive measures of the French government due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets purchased on the official website for the dates from December 16, 2020 to January 6, 2021 will be canceled and the funds will be refunded.
The "iron lady", as Parisians call the capital symbol, has been towering over Paris for more than 130 years. At nightfall, the tower is illuminated, and it shimmers with golden light like a Christmas tree of incredible size, piercing the night sky with a searchlight beam.
