One hundred years of Russian jazz will be celebrated in Sochi

This event will be dedicated to the Sochi Jazz Festival, which has been held at the resort since 2010. This year the event is held from 14 to 18 September. The festival will be organized at different venues in the cities. As part of the Sochi Jazz Festival, creative meetings, an educational program, jam sessions and open-air concerts by famous jazzmen take place.

"The XIII International Festival will open with a 15th jazz parade down Navaginskaya Street and a Gala concert on September Flag Square. Open-air concerts at the Flag Square will also take place on 15 and 16 September. The Sochi Big Band, the Saransk Big Band, the pop-jazz orchestra of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic Society, the Anton Chekurov Quartet (Moscow) and many other performers will perform here for residents and guests of the resort," the Sochi administration reported.

The headliners of the Sochi Jazz Festival-2022 are Larisa Dolina, Therr Maitz, as well as the founder and permanent director of the festival, maestro Igor Butman and his Moscow Jazz Orchestra. Their concerts will take place on September 17 and 18 at the Festivalny Concert Hall.
