The annual Spring Festival of Fountains "Alma Mater" will be held on May 18th in the Lower Park of the Peterhof Museum-Reserve. This year, it will be dedicated to the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University, founded in 1724 by decree of Peter the Great.
"The festival will feature soloists of the Mariinsky and other musical theaters of our city, students, St. Petersburg artists, dancers and musicians. Traditionally, the festival will end with the ceremonial launch of the fountains and fireworks over the Grand Peterhof Palace," - the museum-reserve website says.
The festival can be attended with tickets to the Lower Park. For citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus, the entrance will cost 750 rubles, for children under 14 - free of charge. All benefits are preserved.
Tickets can be purchased in advance on the official website of the museum-reserve (they will go on sale 2 weeks before the event), as well as on the day of the festival at the ticket offices of the Lower Park.
The Festival of Fountains will be one of the main events of the summer season in Peterhof, which starts on April 27th.
