During the trip, the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova opened the project "Capital of Children's Tourism of Russia", signed an agreement on the development of the national tourist "Imperial Route" and took part in the forum of creative territories.
The project "Capital of Children's Tourism of Russia" is part of a set of measures to support children's recreation. As part of it, Rostourism implements a number of programs to support children's travel - from cashback for trips to children's camps to free school trips for children and prizes in the form of travel for young people.
Every year, within the framework of the project, a new capital of children's tourism will appear on the map of Russia. This year it was Nizhny Novgorod.
"In total, according to our estimates, about 10 million children will have a rest in the country this year. About one and a half million children will take advantage of the measures to support children's tourism implemented by Rostourism," the press service of Rostourism quotes Doguzova as saying.
She noted that the list of activities and programs for children's recreation will continue to expand.
