The Organizing Committee of the "Leaders of Responsible Business" National Award, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Tatyana Golikova, Assistant to the President Maxim Oreshkin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) Alexander Shokhin, presented the results of the Award and approved the list of finalists.

The award ceremony will be held at the the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) Congress in April 2024 with the participation of members of the Organizing Committee of the Award.
Companies from among the finalists who showed the three best results in evaluating programs in each nomination will be awarded diplomas for their contribution to solving strategic tasks in the relevant areas (nominations): For contribution to solving strategic tasks of a social orientation - PJSC PhosAgro, MCPAO UC RUSAL, JSC SUEK; For contribution to solving strategic tasks of an environmental and climatic orientation - PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, PJSC Severstal, JSC Russian Railways; For contribution to ensuring technological sovereignty - PJSC RusHydro, JSC Russian Railways; For contribution to the sustainable development of territories - PJSC PhosAgro, PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, PJSC Severstal; For contribution to solving strategic tasks of human potential development - PJSC PhosAgro, PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, Metalloinvest, JSC Pigment. Diplomas for contribution to solving strategic tasks in the areas (nominations) of the Award will be given to companies at the NRB Social Forum, which will be held on February 7, 2024 as the strategic session of the XXXIII Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
The National Award in the field of entrepreneurship for large Russian companies that comply with the principles of responsible business conduct and disclose information in sustainable development reports was established on the basis of an instruction from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, given by him following the results of the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) held in March 2023.
The purpose of the Award is to promote the development of responsible business practices, increase the information openness of business, recognize the contribution of companies to social development - to the creation of a favorable social and natural environment, to the development of human potential and the development of territories, strengthening the country, disseminate successful experience and expand the number of responsible companies. The National Award "Leaders of Responsible Business" is expected to be held annually.
The first Award was launched in early November 2023.
44 companies have submitted their applications to participate in the Award. The evaluation of applications was carried out in three stages in accordance with the Regulations on the Award and the Evaluation Methodology developed by the Expert Council of the Award and approved by the Organizing Committee. When considering applications, both the general indicators of a comprehensive assessment of companies, recorded in reputable Russian indices and ratings of sustainable development, and the contribution of companies to solving socially significant tasks on the example of their corporate programs in key areas of strategic development were taken into account. Companies could submit up to three programs in applications in different directions (nominations), which were approved by the Organizing Committee. The programs were considered at the second stage of the application evaluation, which after the first stage included 24 companies that submitted a total of 49 programs. The finalists of the Award at the third stage, according to the total amount of points scored, including the evaluation of programs, included 14 companies that became laureates of the I, II, III degrees.
The symbol of the Award is the sign of the Social Charter of Russian Business, which contains the principles of responsible business conduct.
