The Interfax-tourism portal reported that a 3D model of a marble quarry has already been created in the village of Buguldeyka in the Olkhonsky district. According to Ekaterina Slivina, deputy director for the development of cognitive tourism and environmental education of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Reserved Baikal Region", this territory can be used for tourism projects.
She also said that the second route is supposed to be opened in the port of Baikal in the Slyudyansky district. It is supposed to be a weekend tour.
“We plan to start passporting it next year, and, accordingly, we will create infrastructure for tourists on this route as planned,” Slivina said.
According to her, the length of the route will be about 4 km. It will include a tour of the church in the port of Baikal, the "white stone" (outcrop of marble rocks) and the forest.
