New bell discovered by scientists of Sochi National Park

It was found on the basalt rocks of the northern slope of the Aibga ridge. The discovery of a plant unknown to specialists was indicated by the peculiarity of the appearance of plants and a specific habitat.

- It was not easy to get plants, large bright blue flowers hung too high from the cracks of sheer cliffs. The discovery of the find was facilitated by the laying of a motor road along the virgin sections of the northern slope of the Aibga ridge, which made it possible to explore the previously inaccessible high-mountainous region of the trough valley of the left-bank tributary of the Mzymta River. The species was named the Aibga bluebell after the place of discovery on the Aibga ridge, the press service of the Sochi National Park reported.
