The decision to this effect was taken during a recent cabinet meeting based on the recommendation of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee, according to nepalsansar.com

The Nepal Government has decided to resume tourism and hospitality sectors, and the concerned hotel and tour operators should adhere to the safety protocols and guidelines once they resume their businesses. Meanwhile, the foreign visitors are expected to produce a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours before departure to avoid any quarantine or self-isolation upon their arrival in Nepal.

As per the reopening plans, the trekking and mountaineering groups can take foreign clients to the mountains from October 17.
