National parks of Russia attract more and more tourists every year

According to the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov, this year they were visited by more than eight million people.

The Minister, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, said that 8.12 million people visited Russian national parks and reserves in the seven months of this year.

"This is the highest figure in the last five years and 27% more than in the same period last year," Kozlov said.

He noted that the national parks "Krasnoyarsk Pillars", "Curonian Spit" and the Caucasus Reserve became the most popular among travelers.
