Museum-apartment of Maya Plisetskaya opened in Moscow

The ballerina's apartment on Tverskaya Street was donated to the A.A. Bakhrushin Theater Museum by her husband, composer Rodion Shchedrin.

The museum has collected more than a thousand unique items from the archives of the Shchedrin and Plisetskaya families. The permanent exhibition will tell visitors about the great creative path and personal life of the outstanding ballet dancer.

In addition to the interiors, personal belongings and documents of the famous married couple, guests will be able to see the stage costumes of the ballerina, her outfits from the French couturier Pierre Cardin, sculptural and artistic images, as well as photo portraits made by famous masters.
