Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has announced that the "Summer in Parks" project will be significantly expanded this year. A total of 23 comfortable beach areas with summer pools are planned to open in the capital.

The project was well-received by Muscovites and guests of the capital last year. More than 560,000 people visited open-air pools last summer. This year, you can sunbathe by the water and swim in eight city parks. New beach areas will open in Izmailovsky Park, Dubki Park and Yuri Luzhkov Park. All of them will be equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, changing cabins and showers. There will also be one or more pools, cafes, event venues and medical posts.

The largest beach areas will open at the Northern River Terminal and in the Nagatinskaya Floodplain near the Dream Island Park. The first of them will have four swimming pools, as well as a beach with a picturesque view of the Khimki Reservoir. More than 900 people will be able to relax on the beach of the Northern River Terminal at the same time.

The Dream Beach Club, located near the Dream Island Park, will be able to accommodate over 2,500 people. There are five swimming pools with a heating system on its territory. One of them is the largest open-air swimming pool in Russia with an area of 1.7 thousand square meters. The beach club hosts free sports training, quests, water and beach games, as well as children's master classes and concerts of popular performers.

In addition, this year, places for recreation by the water will appear on nine festival площадках "Moscow Seasons" in different districts of the city. Last year, two such experimental pools worked.

Muscovites and guests of the city will also be able to swim in the open-air swimming complex in Luzhniki. It includes two heated swimming pools, a sauna, a large recreation area with sunbeds. This year, a children's inflatable pool with slides will be installed next to the beach pool.

In addition, another open-air swimming pool will operate in the summer on the territory of the Aquatoria ZIL sports complex. It is intended for amateur swimming. The pool has five lanes, there is a shallow water area. For a comfortable stay, umbrellas and sun loungers will be installed here, and a spa area will also operate.
