In 2020, Moscow will take part in eight tourism exhibitions. As EcoTourism Expert came to know, Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalya Sergunina announced this.
According to her, last year, the Russian capital participated in a series of exhibitions in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America: WTM Latin America in Brazil, ATM in the UAE, SITIF in Korea, ITE & ITE MICE and BITE in China, ITB Asia in Singapore, WTM London in the UK and IBTM World in Spain. The Moscow Booth, organised by the city Committee on Tourism, has won six international awards.
At exhibitions in the Asian region Moscow was awarded the best booth design prize, the best creative presentation of tourism potential and audience awards.
At the World Travel Market in London, the Moscow booth won in the nominations for “Best booth design” and “Audience Award”, and at IBTM World in Barcelona, the city was awarded the prize for the best presentation of tourism potential.
November 28, Moscow won the World Travel Awards in the nomination "The best tourist destination. City". London, New York, Lisbon, Paris, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro were also represented in this category. The award ceremony took place in Oman.
“In 2020, we will continue to work to promote the tourism potential of the capital abroad,” added Sergunina.
She said that next year they plan to participate in exhibitions WTM Latin America in Brazil, ITB Berlin in Germany, ITB India in India, Fitur in Spain, ITB China in China, ITB Asia in Singapore and IFTM Top Resa in France, as well as in International exhibition MITT in Moscow.
