The official website of the Mayor of Moscow announced the launch of the "Journey to Christmas" festival, which will run at 36 venues in different districts of the city until January 8. This year it is being held for the tenth time.

During the festival, the festive mood will be created by illumination and bright art objects. A 20-meter Christmas tree ball will be installed on Poklonnoye Gora, and thousands of kilometers of garlands will decorate the festival grounds.

More than four thousand master classes are waiting for the citizens. They will be able to try their hand at forging, wood carving and making carnival masks. In the fair pavilions, guests will be offered to buy New Year's souvenirs and sweet gifts.

Sports enthusiasts can skate at one of the 23 ice rinks, as well as participate in curling and hockey training. In addition, performances by the best figure skaters and discos from popular DJs will be held on the ice.

The cultural program of the festival is also extensive. The venues will host classical and immersive performances, farcical performances and shadow theater. There will also be New Year's performances with the participation of Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden.

The city authorities promise to make the "Journey to Christmas" not only interesting, but also delicious. At the festival venues, guests will be able to taste Moscow buns and cheesecakes, washing them down with fragrant tea according to an old recipe from a real samovar.

The festival menu included dishes of traditional Russian cuisine, for example, ear soup, cabbage soup in bread, Guryev porridge, pies and donuts, goose with apples, hare stew, merchant's mash and other treats.

The guests of the holiday will be able not only to taste, but also to learn how to cook unusual dishes during culinary master classes.
