More than a thousand tourists – passengers of the iFly airline could not fly to Egypt the day before.
They were stuck at Moscow's Vnukovo airport due to the fact that Jordan, over whose territory the flights were supposed to take place, unexpectedly banned them due to the company's lack of an insurance certificate.
On the evening of December 15, tourists waiting for departure from Moscow were placed in hotels, and those who had to return by these planes from Egypt were forced to continue their rest.
In the current situation, iFly decided to postpone the delayed flights to Egypt on December 16 to fulfill all the requirements of the Federal Air Transport Agency, which are necessary to change the route – overflight over the territory of Syria.
Today, the airline announced that it expects to receive permission from the Federal Air Transport Agency within the next few hours and send the first flight at 20:00, vesti.ruwrites.
