The press service of the government of the Tver region reported that funds will be allocated from the regional budget to co-finance projects to create modular tourist accommodation facilities. Previously, the Russian government allocated 332.4 million rubles to support the region within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”.
New accommodation places for tourists are being actively created in the Tver region. Since 2018, the number of hotels in the Upper Volga region has reached 318, and the total number of rooms has reached 26.5 thousand beds. The tourist flow from 2018 to 2022 increased from 1.5 to 2.6 million people per year.
Earlier, in the summer of this year, 244 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the creation of modular hotels and glampings in 2023-2024 in the Upper Volga region. These funds are used to implement 4 projects in the Konakovsky and Penovsky districts.
