The first commercial batch of these flowers from Abkhazia passed through the customs post of the MAPP "Adler" of the Krasnodar customs. From Sochi, mimosa will go to different cities of Russia.
- The declaration was submitted for 125 kg of mimosa. The main deliveries of mimosa, aka silver acacia, will go from the end of February to the first days of March. Over the past year, about 145 tons of "golden" bouquets were brought from Abkhazia to Russia. This year, deliveries are expected to be at the same level, - the press service of the Krasnodar customs for Sochi reported.
It is worth noting that this year the mimosa on the Black Sea coast bloomed ahead of schedule. According to experts from the Sochi National Park, such a deviation from the average does not go beyond the norm. On the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, mimosa can bloom from December to May. Most often, its flowering falls on famous holidays - February 23 and March 8. But, if the winter turned out to be warm, it can happen in early January or even in December.
